The primary route recognises completed, approved education and training. Check that your particular programme is recognised before applying.

• IPEM Clinical Technologist Training Scheme.
• The Association of Renal Technologists’ Training Scheme.
• Practitioner Training Programme (PTP).
• CASE-accredited Degree

Documents to prepare

• Health and conduct declaration
  Complete the declaration. Read the form’s guidance on what must be disclosed. Declaration of health and conduct (PDF).
• References form
  Handwritten signatures required. One referee must be your line manager or head of department. See referee requirements. References form (PDF).
• Primary qualification certificate
  Upload a PDF, signed by both referees.
• Current CV
  Include your education, training and employment history. Not required for sonography primary applications.
• Organisation chart
  Show your role. Both referees must sign it. Not required for sonography primary applications.
• Direct debit arrangements
  Read fees and direct debit arrangements.

Requirements for sonography primary applicants

You do not need a CV or an organisation chart. All other applicable primary-route requirements remain.
