How to join the register

The RCT is open to clinical technologists in medical physics, clinical engineering, sonography, medical equipment maintenance or manufacturing who are based in the UK or have a confirmed UK job.

Choose the route that matches your education and training. Both routes require you to meet the RCT’s professional standards.

You need to be working in a relevant field. A trainee or assistant post in that field counts. There is no minimum period of work experience or supervised UK practice.

Before you choose
